  • उत्तर प्रदेश जनसंख्या की दृष्टि से भारत का सर्वाधिक जनसख्या वाला राज्य है। 
  • उत्तर प्रदेश का गठन 1 अप्रैल 1937 में United Provinces तथा देश आजाद होने के बाद 1950 में इसका नाम बदलकर उत्तर प्रदेश रख दिया गया। 
  • उत्तर प्रदेश की official भाषा हिंदी है और इसके कुल 75 जिलों के बोली जाती है। 
  • उत्तर प्रदेश पश्चिम में राजस्थान, उत्तर-पश्चिम में दिल्ली और हरयाणा, उत्तर में नेपाल देश , पूर्व में बिहार, दक्षिण में मध्य प्रदेश और दक्षिण- पूर्व में झारखण्ड और छत्तीसगढ़ को छूता है। 
  • उत्तर प्रदेश में 2 बड़ी नदियाँ गंगा और यमुना इलाहाबाद में मिलती  है। 
  • उत्तर प्रदेश में  वर्ष 2015 के किसान वर्ष माना गया है।

  •  छेत्रफल की दृष्टि से उत्तर प्रदेश 5ht  तथा लखीमपुर खेरी(7,680 ) प्रदेश सबसे बड़ा जिला  है और जनसँख्या की दृष्टि से इलाहाबाद(5 ,954 ,391 ) सबसे बड़ा जिला है। सबसे ज्यादा साक्षरता Deoria(83.12  %) जिले में और सबसे ज्यादा लिंगानुपात जौनपुर(1024 ) जिले में है। 
  • उत्तर प्रदेश में 81% हिन्दू और 17% मुस्लिम हैं।
